Interns aid in the planting, cultivating, and harvesting of vegetables at the farm. Harvesting duties include washing, bunching, and the arranging of vegetables for display. Harvesting takes place from 7am to 2pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Come enjoy a beautiful, brisk fall morning at the farm! Interns are also welcome in the afternoons; this is a great way to spend an afternoon unwinding after class. Experience is not necessary; we will provide training and guidance.
There is also the potential for an intern to be involved in the marketing and advertising of shares to be sold for the 2006 season during the upcoming winter months. We are also in need of an intern to assist the farmer with record keeping, especially as the season wraps up and we begin preparations for next season. Working in any position at the farm is a great way to learn about sustainable agricultural practices and experience first-hand the growing and distribution cycles of the produce. |
