The SEARCH retreat team offers teachings about the church from a young person’s perspective. University Ministries at St. Bonaventure enjoys students who come forward to lead retreat experiences for Catholic Churches in the greater University area. Students assemble and create a meaningful experience for parish faith formation staffs who are responsible for preparing youth for the Sacrament of Confirmation. Rotating groups of 3-6 university students share talks, music, prayer and fun with area youth as they explore being Catholic. Retreats are usually a Saturday and sometimes a weekend long. Transportation, supplies, contacts and a friar chaplain are made available to assist the students in their Gospel call to go and spread the Good News.
